Status Quo Ante purposes to alert members of the Church Militant to recent activity on the front lines of the age-old battle between the Progressives and the Conservatives within the Western protestantism.

In short, we essentially function as an online reconnaissance mission so that isolated Christian soldiers can be aware of what’s going on outside of their own foxholes.

As we post reports, they will appear in chronological order of occurrence and be organized into three main categories:

Losing Ground

(i.e., the Progressives have infiltrated the camp of the saints and caused some significant damage) Items in this category call, at very least, for a moment of silence.

Watching This Front

(i.e., there seems to be some enemy movement, but it is not yet clear how serious the threat may be) Items in this category call for alertness of mind and readiness to act.

Holding The Line

(i.e., the Conservatives recently faced a threat, fought a good fight, and lost no ground to the enemy) Items in this category call for celebration. Smoke ’em if you got ’em, boys.

We did consider including some kind of Ecclesiastical Arlington category since there is such an abundance of articles that would fit well there, but this is a time to fight. We can mourn together after the battle is done.

This might be starting to sound rather serious. It is deadly serious. Please allow us to explain. Next >>

Who: Just a few guys who like things the way they used to be.

What: An online reconnaissance mission for the church militant.

Why: We love the church and are grieved to see it infiltrated.

Where: There is no neutral ground and no denomination is safe.

When: The battles we fight today  began a long time ago.

How: Alerting comrades to enemy advances and occasional victories.

See something?

Say something.

Status Quo Ante is an alternative news source for conservative protestants who liked things “the way they were” in the church before the progressive age.
